This result will include both UG and PG programs. Students who have taken the examination can view their scorecards on the official websites nift.ac.in. To view the results the candidates need to log in with their application number and date of birth. You have to download and print the scorecard for future reference especially for the counselling process.
Overview of NIFT RESULT 2026:
The National Testing Agency or NTA is going to announce the NIFT result on its official website. All the exam attendees can view their results on the official website i.e. nift.ac.in. Results will be available for both graduate and postgraduate levels. The NIFT exam was taken place on February 08, 2026. The final results will be calculated as per the candidate’s performance in the written exam and personal interview. The personal interviews were done between May and June 2026.
Information about examination:
Phase 1: On Last week of April 2026, NTA may release the stage 1 result of GAT/CAT.
Phase 2: The qualified ones will proceed to the Stage 2 examinations, which will include the Situation Test or personal interviews, in the first and second weeks of June 2026. All the selections will finish in the week ending with announcing the final NIFT Stage 2 results in the final week of June 2026, and the admissions counseling period will begin.
Procedure of checking the result of NIFT 2026:
- After the publication of the result, what the candidates have to do. The candidates have to follow certain steps if they want to check their result.
- So at first following the most important step, they all have to do is first visit the official NIFT website at nift.ac.in.
- After reaching there, the candidates will find the ‘Final Result 2026’ link on the homepage. Just click on it.
- After clicking you all will be redirected to a new page where you have to log in.
- For logging in, you just have to enter your application number and Date of birth.
- After putting all of the information, submit the details for smooth log in.
- Then you can see view your result on your screen after submission.
- When you get the PDF, analyse and review the result and download it.
- Make sure to print your scorecard for future use.

Required Documents for Counselling of NIFT 2026:
The shortlisted or selected candidates will face the counselling process. In this process they have to produce their documents and they have to ensure that their documents must have their documents verified including their NIFT 2026 Admit Card, scorecard, mark sheets, and certificates for class 10th and 12th results. The candidates have to provide their transfer certificate, caste certificate, residential certificate, recent passport-sized photos, and valid ID proof.
It is assumed that NIFT will start the counselling process after the publication of result but it is not announced yet officially. They will soon provide the schedule for the counselling sessions. The candidates have to check the official website to be aware about the recent updates on a regular basis. After the publication of the final result list, the candidates have to go for the counselling process, which is likely to start in June 2026. The specific dates and schedule will be shared soon on the official website.
Required Documents for Counselling Process:
- Admit card of the given examination
- Scorecard of yours
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates
- If you have any reservation, then Caste category certificate
- Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate
- Recent photographs in passport size
- Valid photo ID card whether it could be Aadhaar card or Pan Card or Passport, etc.)

Calculation of the Final Merit List:
There is a weighted score which decides the Final Merit List. To decide the merit list the scores required:

What to do next after the publication of Result?
The selected candidates will seat for the counselling process and after that they will go through several process like allotment of seats, then verification of documents, choice locking, admission process etc. There will be number of counselling until the vacant seats got filled up. The counselling timetable and instructions will be available on the official website soon after the results.
Exam Dispute and Legal Jurisdiction Guidelines:
If any of candidate will face an issue regarding the entrance examination, error in result or any such mishaps then these incidents will be handled under the jurisdiction of Delhi/New Delhi only. There is a timeline of reporting about the dispute. Any legal concerns related to the exam must be brought up within 30 days of the results being announced.
