UP Scholarship Status 2026: Uttar Pradesh Government is running UP Scholarship Scheme. The main purpose of this scholarship scheme is to help students financially so they can pursue their education without facing money issues. This scheme supports students at various educational levels that means it helps the students in their primary level of schooling along with secondary and higher education through covering both pre-matric (9th and 10th grades) and post-matric (11th, 12th, and college) scholarships.

UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath has made a major recompense to millions of students in the state. The amount of scholarship as well as its scope have been broadened by the government. The Yogi government has increased the amount of scholarship hugely in Class 9th and 10th (Pre-Matric) students. At present, students of Backward Class (OBC) will be given a scholarship amount of Rs. 3000 rather than 2250. This is an increase of Rs. 750. This ruling will be helpful to some 3.8 million students in Uttar Pradesh.

The government has also raised the income limit to increase the number of students to benefit under the scholarship. However, this time those students of OBC who have an annual family income of up to 2.5 lakh can also apply to this UP Scholarship 2026. This was a previous limit that was lower. Students will no longer be required to wait until the end of the year to have scholarships.

The government has also enhanced the system of distribution to such an extent that the funds are directly deposited into the bank account of students through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) in a time sufficient manner. These are clearly decisions before holi which show the concentration of Yogi government in youth and training. How to Apply to UP Scholarship 2026?

Residents of Uttar Pradesh who are studying in any institution of UP and they want to apply for scholarship then they can register by following a specific procedure. There are two ways to apply for the UP Scholarship 2026. One is for new users or the new candidates and the other is for Renewal Candidates who have getting the scholarship before and also they are being registered in the UP Scholarship Portal.

The students who are new they have to visit the official website i.e. https://scholarship.up.gov.in/ to register them on the portal. After entering in to the homepage go to the student section. Then after that click on the registration tab to begin new registration process. Give all the required documents which are there to fill then after filling up submit the registration form. How To Check Scholarship Status Through PFMS?

• One of the easiest method is to check the status by using Public Financial Management System which Is known as PFMS. PFMS is created by the government which helps in monitoring the payment of scholarships and various government programs for students. You can conveniently check your UP scholarship 2026 status on this platform.
• First visit the PFMS website i.e. https://pfms.nic.in/  to know your status which can make you aware about payments from various government programs including scholarships.
• After entering in to the website you will be on the homepage.
• After appearance of the home page kindly view and search for the “Know Your Payment” option. Then click on it.
• After clicking on the “know your payment option” a new page will open where you need to enter specific details.
• Then enter all the necessary details like your bank name, account number and the captcha code.
• After putting all these information verification is must. So verify your identity using your mobile number and OTP. Then click submit.
• After submission you will see all payment details to your bank account including scholarship payments.
• Then check if your scholarship amount has been credited and the payment date.
• After that click on the download button to save the status in a PDF format.

Check Your Status Through UMANG Application

• Also the students can check their scholarship status using the UMANG App or website. 
• To view the status the students have to ensure that they have the UMANG App installed on their phone.
• If they do not have the app then they can access the official portal at https://web.umang.gov.in/. 

• Download the UMANG App on your smart phone if you want to view your status on your phone as it is more convenient. Android users can download the app from Google play store and the iOS users can also download it from the Apple App Store. 
• If you are a new student then registration is must. By opening UMANG app you can register yourself by clicking the “Login/Register” button on the right side of the homepage.  After that click on “Register Here” to proceed further.
• After clicking a new page will open for you to enter your mobile number and OTP.  After entering the OTP, you have to set your MPIN.  After setting the MPIN your registration will be completed successfully.
